If only until tomorrow, give me tonight.'
If only 'till the morning, give me 'till first light.
If only to say goodbye, to make my heart soar high.
I know my heart will break without you hear, for I know that I will always hold you dear.
So, if only 'till the morning, give me 'till first light.
And if only until tomorrow, give me tonight.

A.N.- This poem is written from the point of view of a lover who knows that in the morning their love is going to fade. In my mind I picture a young man who knows that his girlfriend is leaving for a school across the country and he knows that he will lose her when she leaves. The poem describes his desire to spend his last few moments of time with her expressing how much he loves her and enjoying the feelings that he wants to feel in return.
